(MAP) 2022-23!
Preschool is an exciting time for young learners. Mahtomedi Area Preschool (MAP) helps prepare students for the world of kindergarten. MAP takes 3-5-year-olds through daily activities to strengthen social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development. The curriculum features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Math, language, and literacy skills are sharpened in MAP, as is self-regulation. Along the way children further develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking abilities. |

First Day of School
September 12 will be the first day of school for preschool programming.
Important Dates
- Teacher notification EMAILS will be sent out the second week of August. Please look at your email and if you do not receive notification by August 15 please contact .
- Virtual Family Meetings with teachers will be the afternoon/evening of August 30. More details will come with the teacher emails.
- September 7 & 8 will be Family Connection Days for ALL preschools. We will not be participating in group open houses this year. Sign up will be available with your teacher emails.
School Supplies
School supplies will be available in the teacher emails sent out the second week of August.

School Transportation
Preschool transportation is available for students in FULL day preschool class at Wildwood Elementary for a one time fee. The deadline for preschool transportation was JULY 1st. If you would still like to have your student ride a bus please check in with for more information.
School Nutrition
The federal government has ended its free meals program, which was launched during the COVID-19 pandemic. School lunches are available for students in preschool housed in Wildwood Elementary only. During the 2022-23 school year, the price for breakfast will be $1.60. Breakfast is ONLY available for students in our before care program. The price for lunch will be $2.95. Free and reduced-price meals will be provided to families who need help covering the cost of meals. To find out if you qualify, fill out an Educational Benefits Form (also known as Free & Reduced Application) online or via this pdf form. The program can provide your family with free or reduced-price meals and many other supports, including reduced fees for sports/activities, instruments, field trips, and more. |
