Self-Defense Seminars - Back to School/College
Be bold! Know your worth and how to defend it.
Lessons learned will be based on age group, while all students will learn how to stand up to bullies and avoid strangers, students in high school and college will learn about consent, as well as how to communicate effectively. It is important to know how to protect yourself physically, especially those students going into college and into the world. Self-defense is more than knowing how to hit or kick, but also understanding your “no” is your right. Having the confidence to say “no” is just as important as how to defend against a slap or a punch.

The seminar will inspire student confidence now, which will make them a harder target for bullies later, instructors will make sure students know their worth in a fun and safe environment.
Learn how to defend against the most common attacks you’ll see in school or on the street, such as slaps, backpack pulling, and more.

The seminar will be socially distanced outside or depending on weather, in the DEC. We encourage you and a dedicated training partner to register so that you are comfortable working with each other.
Instructor: Valley Self-Defense, part of the International Krav Maga Federation with instructors trained in trauma-informed care.

Ages 14+: August 4, 5:30-7:20 PM
Ages 9-13: August 11, 5:30-7:00 PM
